Sog S63 is pictured, not the S-62. I ordered this item and received a tool with uncovered gears. I called Sog and was told that the Sog S-62 does not have covered gears, SOG Specialty Knives & Tools S63-N EOD PowerLock with V-Cutter does have covered gears. This photo needs to be changed to show the S-62, Sog makes great multi-tools, but this is an issue they need to clarify. I wanted covered gears for comfort while using the 1/4 inch drive and screwdrivers, and because I have heard the uncovered gears will wear a hole in pockets. I had to return this item and order the S-63. Other than that, the tool is great. Nice big powerful wire-cutters and pliers, and if I chose to I can change some of the items on the tool.

This SOG is my favorite, it does everything I need it to. I will however buy a V-cutter and Straight Blade for it, but those are my preferences. The power lock on this tool is amazing I will never pinch my finger again!

The thing that draged me to this over leatherman was that I was able to buy different attachments and change the tool selection to suit my needs. The other feature I love is the gears that basically double the strength put into using the cutters and pliers. The cutters are great as well, long lasting but sadly aren't removable. I've used them to cut mesh that holds boulders to pallets at work. The tools are pretty well made though I prefer the knife to be a little more solid. The handle covers come off sometimes but save your hands from a lot of discomfort. The tools such as the saw and knife are limited to 3" to suit the covers, Leatherman's are 4". Saw is well made, but again size does matter. When cutting netting the v-cut is my best friend A+++ on that idea. The bit driver though is complete junk, its very handy...as long as the metal spring thing doesn't come off. Mine fell off after a few months. I can definitely think of a few ways to improve this tool, but nothing is perfect. I have owned this tool for almost a year now and waited to write this review to get used to it so it wasn't bias with new toy hype.
